{"id":11,"date":"2024-05-23T16:45:07","date_gmt":"2024-05-23T15:45:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.frontbacktech.com\/?p=11"},"modified":"2024-05-23T17:16:51","modified_gmt":"2024-05-23T16:16:51","slug":"hotel-wifi-installation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.frontbacktech.com\/index.php\/2024\/05\/23\/hotel-wifi-installation\/","title":{"rendered":"Hotel WiFi Installation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We have been involved in the renewal of the WiFi network in a 40+ room hotel over the past two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We initially carried out a survey of the existing WiFi network in the hotel &#8211; measuring coverage in the rooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A 1Gbps optical broadband was installed. We selected a Router that could manage the 1Gps WAN, installed Unifi (Ubiquitii) U6 lite and U6+ AP&#8217;s in most rooms and some Unifi switches<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Installed a small networked computer for running the WiFI controller from which the AP&#8217;s get their configuration and are monitored from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the rare case of a broadband outage to the Hotel &#8211; installed an LTE 4G networked device (Telkonica) so that the staff could still access the cloud based booking system from the hotel reception and also have a working payment terminal for guest payments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have been involved in the renewal of the WiFi network in a 40+ room hotel over the past two years.
